Marware have produced an easy to use protective case for the iPad. It's called the C.E.O Hybrid Contrast Case foriPad 2nd, 3rd and new 4th generation iPads.
The C.E.O. Hybrid case comes in four colours; black, brown, pink and red. They all have a white sporty contrast stitching pattern that definitely distinguishes its image. The case features an automatic sleep/wake lid that turns the iPad on and off when opened and closed. Unlike some folio cases I've used for the iPad that sport this magnetic sleep/wake ability, this feature works brilliantly. But we would say that the lid can initially be a bit hard to open and close which we found to be a hassle, however, it does keep the iPad reliably secure and loosens with usage.
The materials used to construct the case are top notch and don't invade the iPad's original slim and compact dimensions too much. There is a synthetic leather coating on the case's exterior that is particularly hard wearing and comfortable to hold. The interior is made up of a hard plastic spine, featuring reinforced shielding snap-in corners that secure the iPad excellently. This means the iPad is 97% coated by the case, preventing scratches from occurring and the overall construction will contribute to seeing off some big drops and heavy impact situations. A fantastic case to have on the iPad when it's being lugged around in a bag.
Included on the rear of the Marware case is a soft and luxurious interior signature hand strap for one handed use, ideal for giving comfortable presentations and convenient for everyday showing off usage.
The case can easily transform itself into multiple viewing angles making it ideal for comfortable typing, watching films, FaceTiming and interacting with Apps. It's very nice to see that Marware have put the effort into creating a typing position, something we have recently seen a lack of in folio styled cases for the iPad.
Accessing the iPad's functions; such as all ports, buttons, speakers and rear camera is possible and easy via the cases cutouts. While the case lid is closed access to the 30-pin dock connector and lightning port is only wide enough for the Apple charging and syncing cables, but docking and using accessories with greater widths will not fit. The rear speaker is covered for protection and makes the audio output slightly quieter, but the sound quality isn't too altered.
Overall the Marware C.E.O. Hybrid Case for the iPad 2, 3, and 4 is one of the thinnest folio cases we've yet to use for the iPad and included plenty of extra useful functionality.
